I thought I'd start a new series, revolved around things I'm loving. While I share things I love on IG, including accounts I'm obsessed with, I thought having a post revolving and sharing them all, would be cleaner, and a more concise way of sharing it all.
I'm going to split up my favorites into categories, in case you care about one more than the other!
Star Wars Rebels - I'm really late to this, and I'm kinda made because the quality isn't the greatest upon watching, but alas....it's still amazing. While I was hesitant at first, because I liked how there was a fluid and steady story line in the Clone Wars, this one is executed better. I guess the writer learned from his first series and made necessary tweaks. I'm obsessed with getting to know some sort of back story in between Rogue One and even Episode IV. I'm also so surprisingly in love with Chopper, which I didn't expect because I didn't like him in the first season. While I'm ending season 2, I'm super sad to find out that the series is on it's last season. Alas - better late than never.
Frankie & Grace - I had seen so many people talk about the show, but I never really gave it a chance. That was until I was bored one day, and thus began my obsession with the show. The first episode automatically had me hooked, and the rest of the season was executed really well. Surprisingly my favorite character is actually that of Martin Sheen's. I think he plays the part so well, and I often forget he's just a character. I also really love Frankie, as I relate a lot to her hippie spirit. While it's not the best show out there, it's good entertainment while you're working out on the bike.
This Is Us - Who isn't talking about this show? Let's be honest. I have watched every single episode since it first debuted. I cried so much the first season, that I think I just cried it all out. The second season hasn't made me cry, nor has it hit me as hard as the first season, but I'm still obsessed with it. Finally getting to know how Jack dies, was long awaited and accepted. I often find that while the show is realistic on some aspects, it's also just another soap opera in a way. Regardless, I'm a huge fan and I'm looking forward to season 3.
Queer Eye For The Straight Guy - OHMGAWD! Ok....I really don't think I have ANYTHING to say about this show, because honestly, no words can describe it. It had me crying within minutes of the first episode. I loved each guest, and the 5 guys are just overall amazing. If you haven't watched this show, DO IT! It's changing the game for it all. There are so many amazing messages, do yourself the favor and just watch it!
Bath & Body
DollyMoo Awakened Forest Lotion - This product was mentioned on my yearly favorites and for a reason. The smell alone is amazing, but it's the actual lotion that has been saving my skin this winter. I know I'm not the only one with dry skin right now, but I try like hell to make sure I'm not stripping it fully. Although I take hot showers, I give it back oil with this bad boy. It's full of shea butter, sweet mango, and babassu butter. All the butters. If you're curious about the scent, it's floral and earthy and smells of a gorgeous flower shop in the woods.
Moon Baby Shop - Another item featured in my yearly favorites, Moon Baby soaps!! I splurged during Black Friday and got a BUNCH of her soaps. Given my skin has been really dry lately, I've noticed her soaps aren't stripping and actually often, depending on the soap, leave my skin feeling hydrated. I was really a fan of the Chamomile Vanilla and the Green Tea Tobacco the most. I'm still going through them, but thus far, these soaps have been a love.
Skin Owl Maqui Berry - If you haven't seen the new Maqui Berry items from Skin Owl yet, you must not have the best skincare influencers on your feed. These bad boys came out last summer and have been making a name for themselves. I immediately jumped on the bandwagon and have never looked back. It's become my night time regimen. I use the beauty drops as my night time moisturizer and then top it off with the whip, for an overnight mask. With this endless winter, my skin has been so immensely dry, I've had to give it back so much and these are the solution. If you have dry skin, buy these now.
S.W. Basics Exfoliant - Because my skins been intensely dry this winter, I've been needing to remove dead skin more than ever. This scrub is perfect for your skin any time of the year, because it's super gentle. I've been loving it a lot lately because of the fact that it's really subtle, but works. Plus, I love how minimal the ingredients are, which has always been my favorite part of S.W. Basics. If you're on the market for a new scrub, or if your skin has been dull and dry, pick this up, you won't regret it!
Hydra, Mythos Candles - I recently had Mythos on my Meet The Maker series and was sent the Hydra candle. While I had a bunch of candles to go through, one day I decided to light this one up, because I was just in the mood for a clean scent. Alas, this was exactly what I needed and wanted. I tend to have cleaner and more therapeutic scents on my desk, and this one is perfect for that. Floral, patchouli, and musk....my favorite types of scents, ALL IN ONE CANDLE. Perfection in a candle.
Sage, Palo Santo, Incense - While my bf isn't a fan of these smells, I often put them on while he's not home. Not only is it relaxing, but it's cleansing and really makes me feel like I'm just reseting. My favorite incense is the original Indian Temple, which is a smoky and musky scent. I like have these on while I work on the website, while I'm listening to music, and especially after cleaning the house. Oh, can't forget during bath time, to emphasize the cleansing even more.
Invisible Monsters - Despite Fight Club being my favorite book, I never really read all of Chuck Palahniuk's books. That was until this year. I had bought most of them, but never fully finished reading them. I've probably had this book for 2-3 years, and finally read it this year. It was a complete shocker and I don't want to ruin anything because I want to keep it suspensful, but I will say that it was VERY Palahniuk with the plot twist. I didn't expect it at all and I was immediately enthralled. I stayed up until 2AM reading the book one night because I couldn't put it down. That speaks for itself.
Crystals For Healing - I picked this book up during one of my B&N dates with Chris. We have them on most Saturdays and I had just finished reading the next book I'm going to mention, so I delved into the crystal section. This book was on sale, so I picked it up to check it out. I was into it within one page. Not only does it talk about how this person used crystals to heal themselves, but it gives information on how you can do it. There is an explanation of each crystal, along with explanation and a guide into chakra's. If you're a beginner, this book is perfect for you!
the sun and her flowers - Oh Rupi Kaur, you speak to not only my soul, but my heart. I had read milk & honey last year, I know...super late, but once I found out she came out with a new book, I immediately read it. While I didn't love it as much as milk & honey, I did love the empowerment of woman! The story of how she came to be and the evolution from her background. If you are into story poetry, you'll love this. But if you read milk & honey and didn't like the format, I wouldn't pick this up.
Live Planted - I've mentioned Alyssa on my 'Podcasts I'm Loving' post, and I'm still loving it. But in this case, I'm loving Alyssa. I love how informative she is and her stories are always beneficial to watch. My favorite part of Alyssa is that she is super helpful when it comes to living a waste free life. She talks and showcases how she buys in bulk, she shares tools to use and utilize to cut down waste, and she even showcases her successful thrift hauls. If none of that calls to you, listen to her podcast and you'll be hooked.
The Sill - OHMYGOODNESS!!! How did NO ONE ever tell me about this account? While I am annoyed and made that IG keeps changing and it's not showing me the people I actually CHOOSE to follow, this showed up on the recommended section and I am OBSESSED. As someone who loves plants, and gardening and has been trying to make her home a secret plant store, this account has made me lust over all the amazing things I can do in each room. All the plants, all the green, all the beauty. If you're into plants, and want to learn about them, or need to splurge on some for your home, follow this account immediately.
There you have it.....what have you been loving lately?
Also, do you like this type of post? Would you want it monthly? Quarterly?
