The hype is so so so real with ColourPop Cosmetics, and that's usually not the case with overhyped brands and products. I've actually been a consumer of ColourPop since 2014, when they first started. It's crazy how much they have grown since my first purchase. since back then, they were only doing eyeshadows. Actually, my first purchase was encouraged because they were coming out with lippies, and they were offering the lippie stix and matching lip liner with each purchase, so of course I got sucked in. And that seems to still be the case with ColourPop and their marketing.
I am absolutely not complaining, but my wallet is, so I took a break from buying makeup in general. I have actually given and gifted a lot of ColourPop to friends and family, so this is my collection at the moment. I know it'll only continue to grow, but figured it would be a good time to share now.
I'm going to be doing separate posts for eyeshadows, lippie stix and liquid lipsticks, because 1. I want to keep it separated, and 2. I own a lot. Not as much as I've seen others own, but still. Just a sidenote as well, I will distinguish which shades I am showcasing today, are vegan. Whatever has a * is NOT vegan. ColourPop has a bunch of vegan options, so this is extremely exciting, and hopefully going forward, they will make even more, if not all, vegan.
So here we go, my eyeshadow collection.
We're going to start with my lightest shades first. Now, I'm not one to really wear light shades, because I either go dark and smokey, or nothing at all. But ColourPop has absolutely changed that for me. The fact that they have a way of making a neutral shade, really shine, is what keeps me going back for more. I have favorites; Meow, I Heart This, Birthday Boy, Mixed Tape....which not only surprised me, but bums me out, because 2 of them are limited edition. But the fact that these are neutral shades and I love them as much as I do, only goes to show that they surpass anyone's expectations and get people out of their typical routine.
The texture of these are crazy pigmented, and super soft. I use the Wet N Wild eyeshadow primer underneath and I don't have any creasing. Sidenote, I do have oily eyelids.
This row is just pornographic to me. I am a sucker for blues, as they really make my brown eyes pop. I had Rex, RIP, but unfortunately it dried out and I had to throw it away, as it started crumbling. Besides that, Bae has lasted me since 2014, which really goes to show that even though it's a cream product, if you close it tight and take care of the product, it lasts a long time. My favorites from this row goes to; Coconut, Fleek/Effect duo, Partridge.
Again, I have a thing for limited items and it really annoys me. I do wish that Fleek/Effect would make a come back as separate shades, because I love them SO much.
So there you have it, my current ColourPop Cosmetics eyeshadow collection. Again, a majority of the eyeshadows are vegan, so just double check the FAQ's on their website, to confirm.
I recently bought one of the quads, but didn't feature it, that will have a post on it's own.
What ColourPop eyeshadows do you have in your collection? And if you don't own any yet, what's on your shopping list?
