For over a year, I have been bringing you interviews with makers of all kinds. I have constantly asked for recommendations, and continuously follow brands that I want to try, or that I love. DollyMoo has been a brand I have followed since the beginning of my site because of how close to home it is. It took me a while, but I finally made it to the shop! Not only that, but I got to meet Nicole, and interview her for Meet The Maker. Now, this weeks post/episode, is going to be a bit different. OK, a lot different.
For the first time ever, Meet The Maker is actually a VIDEO (linked)! You read that right, you get to see the Q&A happening. And let me tell you this, this was all done with one take! Nicole and I bonded tremendously, and before the interview, we had only met and talked for about 10 minutes. You can sense that we connected and really got along well, which was perfect for having Meet The Maker recorded for the first time. I hope you get the sense that you are just hanging out with us, and get to really see who's behind this amazing brand.
I had posted a shop tour video of DollyMoo a couple weeks back, because I wanted you to really get a feel for the store, and the overall brand. Since the Meet The Maker is technically on YouTube this week, I'm going to just share some awesome photos I took, and give you my recommendations and thoughts on the products. Overall, I'm obsessed with everything Nicole was kind enough to give me, and will be going back for the other seasonal collections. But I do want to recommend 3 things in particular.
First, the Awakened Forest body butter is probably the best smelling lotion I have ever smelled. And it's hard saying that because of my love for Witch Baby, but something about the mix of sandalwood, rose and oak moss, just work magically in this product. Second, the Rosehip oil, that Nicole created to work for her skin. Disclaimer, it does tint your skin for a bit, but it goes on really well, sinks into the skin, and doesn't stay tinted. Third, the bath bombs. Not only are they gorgeous, but they smell phenomenal. They really put so much detail into some of these, as you can often see them painting them, on their IG stories.
I want to elaborate what Nicole said in the interview, most things are seasonal, so if you have been debating something from the Spring Equinox line, do it now! The summer line should be dropping soon, so get yourself some goodies before they're gone.
With all of that said, I hope you enjoyed this mini post, the interview, and the photos of the gorgeous products and store!
Thanks so much for reading and a big thank you to Nicole for allowing us to get to know her better.
Let me know in the comments section what you've tried from the brand or what you're going to buy!
