Oh deodorants......the struggle has been so so so real. Prior to be cruelty free, finding the perfect deodorant was such a struggle. I ended up using the same one for a long long time, until I went cruelty free. Once I went cruelty free, I was so lost and confused and didn't know what to try at all.
I ended up trying LAVANILLA, as they had a 2 pack trial size of the Pure Vanilla scent. I actually didn't really enjoy it, but then an old acquaintance sent me the Lavender Vanilla one and I fell in love. I just don't think the Pure Vanilla scent works well with me personally, but the Lavender and the limited edition Christmas scents (two in the photo), worked amazing. LAVANILLA is definitely a favorite and I will continue to use their deodorants. They are a little pricey, but honestly, I rather spend the money in store, than ordering cruelty free deodorants online.
Speaking of ordering online.....Primal Pit Paste was just that! I ended up buying their trial set, because I didn't know what scent to choose. My favorite has absolutely been Jacked Up Jasmine. I ran out of it so quickly and will be buying it in a full size, once I need more deodorant. My other favorites are Royal & Rogue and Thyme & Lemongrass. The formula is outstanding. It's super moisturizing, and doesn't irritate my skin at all. My only pet peeve is that it's not a stick, but honestly, I've gotten so used to it. I love having the trial sizes in my purse, for moments in need.
Another brand that requires applying with your fingers, is Schmidt's. The now offer sticks, but I personally haven't tried it yet. I've had the unscented and Cedarwood & Juniper scents, and personally don't like the unscented. I'm just not the type of person to be able to go without a scent. The formula isn't as soft as Primal Pit Paste, and I personally prefer PPP, but I do enjoy the formula in general. I don't smell like sweat, I don't have to reapply consistently, and again, no irritation. This brand is very hyped up by many cruelty free bloggers, and it's for a reason.
Lastly, Odeia had a deodorant spray sent with their Pearlesque Box and I used it when I went to Firefly Music Festival. I knew this would be perfect for the festival, because it's already a liquid and I wouldn't have to worry about my deodorant melting in the heat. I had absolutely no issues with it. It sprayed on really well, the scent is fresh and citrusy, it was extremely refreshing and I didn't have to reapply continuously. Of course it wasn't sweat resistant, and I was under the sun the whole weekend, but I seriously have/had no complaints. I haven't used it since I got back from the music festival, but I'm going to toss it into my beach bag!
