A Month In Review - May Favorites

With each new month passing by, new favorites are obtained. The month of May has been a great one for new discoveries and finds. I won't share any polishes, because if you follow my IG account, you have seen how often I paint my nails, and choosing a favorite will be close to impossible. Alas, here are my favorites from the month of May.

My FAVORITE find of the year thus far, is this gorgeous Deux Lux (linked) bag. I've purchased from the comapny before, as they often do mystery boxes twice a year, but I wasn't in love with what I got (not their fault, it's a mystery box). This bag though, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Luckily, I found it as Marshall's for only $25! SCORE!

Continuing with accessories, these have been worn NON STOP! The one on the left is from BaubleBar (linked)and I got it in a set of 3 earrings for only $48. That ends up being $16, but one set actually came with 4 earrings, so I thought this was too good of an offer to pass up. I loved all of the stuff I received, but this one in particular has been my favorite. I have been wanting to get a new cartilage piercing, but just didn't feel like getting another hole, and this is the perfect way to achieve it.

The one on the right was bought at Chelsea Market a couple months ago. I've been wearing it every day during the week, and have gotten so many compliments. It's handmade by Rhea Kulscar (linked), who I had the pleasure of meeting in person, when I bought this. She was extremely lovely and her pieces are phenomenal. I've been wanting to buy a couple more things, especially with how great of an experience I have had with this piece.

If you read my April Pearlesque Box post, this item won't be a surprise to you. I was hesitant about this, because my skin was SUPER dry and this sunk way too quickly into the skin, but because it's actually summer now in NJ, this has been perfection. It's seriously like a face primer, but extremely moisturizing. I think this has not only been helping with not allowing my under eye concealer from creasing, but it's made my skin feel silky smooth.

Continuing with face products, these have been favorites since I bought them. If you know me, you know I LOVE and swear by Physician Formula products. The Argan Wear line is by far my favorite, as I love the BB cream and have been using it since it came out. I got the trans powder a couple weeks back, and it came with the blush for free. Of course I got them and I don't regret either at all. they are both amazing. And I LOVE the smell of the Argan line. The trans powder does just as it states. It does give me a little extra coverage, but nothing extreme. The blush is the perfect flushed cheek color.

The concealer was something I was recommended to try by many YouTube guru's. I have been on the hunt for the perfect concealer for some time now and this one is amazing. It's full coverage but doesn't look or feel cakey. Just a little goes a long way, and I feel like this has helped my breakouts, whenever I have them.

To finish that all off, I've been loving these 2 products from Wet N Wild. Now, I feel like this brand is often underrated, because they have some hidden gems, but the new products, WOWZA, phenomenal. I don't go a day without using either one of these. The setting spray, to me, is better than the Urban Decay All Nighter. Plus, this brand isn't owned by a testing company.

The Brow Mascara is the winner of it all though. This thing is spectacular. I can't praise and recommend it enough. My eyebrows look filled, fuller and don't move. They aren't crunchy, nor do they look like they have brow gel on them. If you haven't already tried this, do it. You can't go wrong with it, especially with how inexpensive it is. Plus, Rite Aid always has 40% off or buy 1 get 1 free with WNW products.

In the summer I don't typically need to moisturize as much as the winter, but I still like to give my skin the hydration I steal in the hot showers I take. The LaVanilla was a perk I got from Sephora, that's why it's a baby size. I've been using this as a hand lotion at work, since I wash my hands a lot, and oh my. This is so silky. The smell is amazing (like pure vanilla and sugar), and it feels like water. The smells also lasts and lingers a long long time. I will definitely be buying this in the full size, but I really want LaVanilla to bring these out in baby sizes, so they are travel friendly.

The Odeia lotion I received in May's Pearlesque box, you can read my review linked. I have been using this once I get out of the shower, and just like the LaVanilla lotion, this feels like water on my skin and leaves it feeling hydrated and silky smooth. There is no smell to this really, and I think that's another reason I really enjoy it.

To finish it all off, Harvey Prince is ALWAYS sprayed before I leave home, and I always carry mini rollers with me. My collection is pretty ridiculous, and it keeps growing each time they come out with limited edition scents, but these two, OHMYGOODNESS!! These have been my favorites this past month, and you can tell by how low the usage is. The site explains the scents perfectly, but I'll give you a little summary of what they smell like to me. Kirei smells like brown sugared lemons with a fresh clean scent and Parisienne, which I HAD to stop using because look at how low that is, smells like a fresh and sweet flower garden.

So there you have it, my favorites from May. There were many more, like nail polish and lipsticks, but I'm thinking of doing a favorite nail polishes of the month post, separately. Thoughts on that? And keep an eye out for a ColourPop post!
